I dunno about the feasibility of a LOTR marathon...

Have the two extended-edition DVD sets of Fellowship and Two Towers, and today picked-up the regular DVD version of Return Of. The three movies run about TEN hours, FIFTEEN minutes, and the extended-edition DVD of ROTK is advertised to be at least ONE FULL hour longer.

Dunno, an eleven & 1/2 hour long movie sounds a bit much. Ya think I woulda blown chunks during the 5-hour rough-cut of Apocalypse-Now. LOTR is going to take REAL stamina to withstand!

I can't wait to get that...tried last weekend but they were sold out. I picked up Finding Nemo instead. Ehhh. Haven't made it through all the extras yet.

Just finished watching the Dean Cain movie on Sci Fi. What was it about? Is there another chapter coming?

Was trying to do updates on some of our sites and they just took them down for updates for the next SIX FRIGGIN HOURS!!!! DAMNATION!!!

Maybe that'll give you time to turn your ass TOWARDS the TV-screen to sit through A. Tarkovsky's STALKER, eh?

GAWD, everybody 'round here has copies of ROTK, but took searching to find someone with a widescreen version. Everyone grabs the wides, so stores are overstocked with fulls (which should be discontinued anyways).

OMG! They just played Terminator 3 on HBO, it was AWESOME!!!! Who said it was all flash and no story? Lies! The story was AWESOME!!! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!! The ending totally took my breath away. I did NOT see that coming. I was ready for more of the usual, and I thought it was rather a brave departure. It was more typical of a cold war era flick than now!

You just saw T3 now? Double-GAWD... The humor mixed with the apocalypse-ending equalled (if not surpassed) Jim's first two "T" movies. IMO.

Maybe i'll put T3 on my rental queue over at NetFlix. Haven't seen it since it's theatre run.

Saw Chronicles of Riddick on friday unfortunately.
That's 2 hrs i'll never get back. Felt like I was watching a lousy Star Wars/Dune mishmash with some
very bad acting. Obvisously they plan on another sequel since this one ends with a sort of cliff hanger. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The trailers were the best bit of the day. They showed trailers for AVP, The Incredibles, A Shark Tale and one for Spider-Man 2.

IT'S FRIGGIN' BRILLIANT!!!

I'm on my third consecutive viewing this evening!
(HBO premiere night!)

I'd like to say it's the best story of the three, but it needed the first to grow from of course. I think what it is, is the best directed of three, for sure. The second we can do without.

You need to watch it with fresh eyes.

That page of LOTR stuff, I've seen more expensive, and I know someone who has at least $2,000 worth. I'd love some of those things myself. The power of the ring is calling.....
